Applied acoustic pressure actuates the diaphragm, changing the capacitance of a fixed capacitor. The change is preamplified and converted into an audio signal. MemsTech’s silicon microphone is in a Ball Grid Array (BGA) or in a Multi Lead Package (MLP), containing both microphone and preamplifier, thereby enhancing performance. It supports current Surface Mounting Technology, and can withstand solder flow, allowing it to be incorporated with ease, into any auto assembly process.

The microphone has a high sensitivity range from -20dB to -30dB with a frequency range of 70Hz to 15kHz, and a SNR >55 to basic sensitivity range of -45db to -40dB with a SNR at 58dB or more.
